Commitment to achieving Net Zero

If your business already aims for net zero before 2050, great! If not, start with 2050. This gives you a realistic timeframe to understand and reduce your emissions effectively. Remember, carbon offsetting isn’t immediately necessary. It’s a future step once you’ve minimized emissions as much as possible. Baseline Emissions Footprint

For Scope 3 emissions, focus on key areas: upstream & downstream transportation, waste, business travel, and employee commuting. For UK service businesses, some of these might be negligible, like waste in office-based operations, and can be reported as zero with a brief explanation. Current Emissions Reporting

Timeliness is key: update within 6 months after your reporting period ends.
