Laurence’s bio

Laurence is a sustainability and communications specialist with over a decade’s experience helping businesses talk-the-talk and walk-the-walk.

From award-winning corporate sustainability strategies to traversing the countryside measuring the health of trees, there’s not much Laurence hasn’t worked on over the years. He co-founded Litmus on a noble mission to remove the chore and bore from the world of sustainability.

Previous experience

Laurence started his career in sustainability leading communications and outreach for EU-funded environmental business support programmes.

After going freelance as a communications and sustainability consultant – during which time he also worked for North West MEP Gina Dowding at European Parliament – Laurence built a strong reputation for helping businesses demonstrate climate leadership and win national awards for their sustainability work.

As well as co-founding Litmus Sustainability (with Will), Laurence is founder of climate communications consultancy Flamingo C&C.

He has a Master’s Degree in Environmental Governance from the University of Manchester and is an Associate of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).
